Dr. Nasar U. Ahmed has national and international experiences in intervention development. His early research involved the development of behavioral trial models which have been successfully applied by the World Bank, UNICEF and USAID. His current research focuses on health disparities in preventive health. Dr. Ahmed is a four-time recipient of the American Association for Cancer Research Faculty Scholar in Cancer Research Award. Dr. Ahmed is also the founding president of the Council of Epidemiology Chairs and Directors – a national organization to develop academic standards to meet emerging needs in public health workforce and to offer advice and expertise in the drafting of public health legislation/policy.
