Dr. Ziyad Ben Taleb is a postdoctoral fellow in the Department of Epidemiology. He is also a Fulbright scholar with an extensive training in public health and medicine. He is interested in the epidemiology of tobacco use and smoking cessation with a focus on investigating patterns and trends of novel tobacco products use, such as hookah and e-cigarettes. He has also been involved in research regarding gun violence and prevention. Dr. Ben Taleb, was recently recognized by the Society for Research on Nicotine and Tobacco (SRNT) Trainee Network Spotlight program, which highlights outstanding trainees in tobacco science.
