Beatrice Farnsworth, M.S., M.S.W., L.C.S.W.

Beatrice Farnsworth is a clinical instructor for the School of Social Work. With over 20 years of work experience in social services, Ms. Farnsworth has practiced extensively in medical and mental health settings, conducting assessments, providing therapy, and linking clients to community resources. She has also specialized in grief and end of life issues. While in hospice, she attended to the needs of several dying children and their parents. Ms. Farnsworth has taught several social work classes at FIU and currently trains and mentors undergraduate and graduate students enrolled in the Green Family Foundation NeighborhoodHELP™ program. Her passion is to instill her love of the field of Social Work in her students and the next generation of social work professionals. Ms. Farnsworth holds a master’s degree in Biology from Pierre et Marie Curie University in Paris, France, and a Master of Social Work from New York University. She is fluent in English, French and Spanish.
