School of Public Health

The School of Public Health comprises five departments that provide graduate-level programs: Biostatistics, Environmental Health Sciences, Epidemiology, Health Policy and Management, Health Promotion and Disease Prevention. 
In 2016, Florida International University (FIU) achieved the top rank of very high research activity defined by the Carnegie research classification. As South Florida’s largest university, FIU is uniquely positioned in the heart of Miami’s most diverse communities, where the most pressing public health issues easily translate and expand to the global stage.
