The Robert Stempel College of Public Health & Social Work (Stempel College) and the American University of Antigua College of Medicine (AUA) are working together to better prepare tomorrow’s health professionals. Combining a public health degree that understands changing global health trends with a doctorate in medicine gives students the tools to perform at the highest levels of the medical field. With an emphasis on patient-centered care, the MD provides the knowledge to heal and assist individuals, while the MPH provides the expertise to handle widespread population health and diseases with evidence-based strategies.
In the heart of Miami, Stempel College inspires groundbreaking discoveries through an interdisciplinary education in public health, dietetics and nutrition, social work and disaster preparedness from within a rigorous academic environment at Florida International University (FIU). In the 2023 U.S. News & World Report rankings, the School of Public Health ranked 39th among public universities. And according to thebestschools.org, the online Master of Public Health ranks #7 in the country amongst the Best Online Programs. Stempel College is strengthening communities and influencing policy that promotes healthy lives for all—especially the most underserved.
