Biography
Dr. Jacqueline Hernandez is an Assistant Professor, Director of the Dietetic Internship Program in the Department of Dietetics and Nutrition, and a registered dietitian nutritionist. She has a passion for understanding the relationship between gut health, inflammation, and the prevention of chronic diseases in minority groups. In recent years, she has dedicated her research in investigating factors affecting gut integrity, gut microbiome, and inflammation in diverse populations. She currently teaches Research Methods in Dietetics & Nutrition II, Graduate Seminar in Dietetics & Nutrition, and oversees the Dietetic Internship Program.
