Social Work Supervisor and Green Family Foundation NeighborhoodHELP(TM)
Lourdes Martin is a clinical instructor in the School of Social Work and serves as the social work supervisor for the Green Family Foundation NeighborhoodHELP™ since its inception in 2010.
She values the unique opportunity this program offers to work with both students and faculty in other disciplines, while modeling practice behaviors for students in a community setting and simultaneously enriching the lives of underserved populations in Miami-Dade County.
Martin has been a licensed clinical social worker in Florida since 2005. Her clinical practice has focused mainly on crisis intervention and trauma-response related to sexual victimization, intimate partner/domestic violence, stalking and campus violence. She also has extensive experience working on interprofessional teams providing community-based mental health care.
