Biography

My work in the field of mental health practice has a focus on serving adults living with trauma and trauma-related disorders. I provide treatment primarily using Dialectical Behavior Therapy as an evidence-based modality. I further work in understanding effective treatment for symptomology of Complex Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. My role as an educator focuses on the success of Field Education as our program's signature pedagogy. I work with students navigating the transition from academics to implementation of skills in various practice settings.

I carry a personal and professional responsibility for advocacy, research, and direct service within the field of Social Work. Prior to my work in Miami, I was part of a group practice in the heart of Washington, D.C., before opening a private practice in South Florida.
The majority of clients are university students and young adults. Through my work, I have developed specific knowledge in understanding the particular issues that come with University life and early adulthood.
