Biography

My dedication to work in the field of mental health started long before my studies and career. I had a variety of research focuses during my graduate studies; from human trafficking to psychopathology. However, it wasn’t until I was a few years into my career that I discovered my niche for working with trauma, more specifically, understanding effective treatment for the symptomology of Complex Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.

I carry a personal and professional responsibility for advocacy, research, and direct service within the field of Social Work. Prior to my work in Miami, I was part of a group practice in the heart of Washington, D.C., before opening a private practice in South Florida.
The majority of clients are university students and young adults. Through my work, I have developed specific knowledge in understanding the particular issues that come with University life.
