Stempel College’s cutting-edge food lab is where Dietetics & Nutrition students gain hands-on experience testing ingredients, developing recipes, and learning from experts. They can also use equipment like the Volscan Profiler to measure the volume, density, and dimensional profiles of food products, a penetrometer to measure the tenderness of food, and water activity meters to measure the water vapor pressure generated by the water molecules in foods.
