Master of Public Health with a Concentration in Global Health: The Accelerated Track

The Master of Public Health with a concentration in Global Health at the FIU Robert Stempel College of Public Health & Social Work in Miami, Florida, trains students to apply global health principles to both domestic and international challenges, with a focus on identifying and addressing health inequities.

The increasing interconnectedness of the world requires professionals educated from a global perspective. The program leverages a transdisciplinary approach to prepare technically skilled and cross-culturally competent professionals to overcome challenges in a continually-shifting and complex landscape.

The Accelerated Track

While all full-time MPH in Global Health candidates are expected to complete their coursework in 2 years (ie, 6 semesters), we also offer an Accelerated Track for completion to exceptional applicants.

Accelerated Track Options:

This Accelerated Track has two program options:

(1) MPH completed in 4 semesters,
(2) MPH completed in 3 semesters.

An Ideal Student:

These options have been specifically designed for applicants who will: (a) benefit from a quicker completion of their MPH coursework (eg, for professional and scholarship reasons), (b) have a strong relevant professional background, and (c) have a strong academic track-record to succeed an intensive route.

A Typical Schedule:

Below are typical 4-semesters and 3-semesters schedules (subject to future modifications).
