FIU’s Robert Stempel College of Public Health & Social Work is proud to announce the reaccreditation of its Bachelor of Science in Social Work (BSSW) and Master of Social Work (MSW) programs.
The Council on Social Work Education’s (CSWE) Board of Accreditation has extended the accreditation of the BSSW and MSW programs until 2032. The CSWE is the national association representing social work education across the United States.
“Social work accreditation ensures students receive a high-quality, professionally recognized education that prepares them for licensure, real-world practice and meaningful careers,” shares Dr. Mary Helen Hayden, director of the School of Social Work.
Accreditation of a social work program by the CSWE’s Board of Accreditation indicates that it meets or exceeds standards of program quality evaluated through a peer review accreditation process. An accredited program has sufficient resources to meet its mission and goals, and the CSWE has verified that it demonstrates compliance with all accreditation standards.
