Project Step is a study funded by the National Institutes of Health to evaluate the efficacy of stepped care strategies to improve antiretroviral therapy (ART) adherence among adult Latino sexual minority men with HIV.
The trial compares several evidence-based interventions, delivered in a stepped care approach, including text message medication reminders, remote patient navigation and weekly check-ins.
The study is enrolling 250 Latino sexual minority men with HIV to participate in the trial. Participants in the study are compensated for their time and complete online questionnaires, blood draws, and engage in one or more ART adherence interventions.
