Registered Dietitian (RD)

Students interested in becoming a Registered Dietitian (RD) must complete a Didactic Program in Dietetics (DPD). Students that have not completed the DPD requirements have the opportunity to do so at the graduate level with a combination of undergraduate DPD courses and graduate courses.

The Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) will require, as of January 1, 2024, a minimum of a master’s degree to be eligible to take the credentialing exam to become a registered dietitian nutritionist (RDN).

Verification Statement: This link takes you to a form to request your Verification Statement from Stempel College’s Department of Dietetics & Nutrition. Students with degrees from an accredited dietetics and nutrition program in the U.S. must provide an original copy of their Verification Statement once admitted to their program of study.
