  • Is Robert Stempel College of Public Health & Social Work fully accredited?

    When reviewing full-time or online public health degree programs to find the best fit for your career, it is always critical to verify that the program you are considering is accredited by the Council on Education for Public Health (CEPH). Robert Stempel College of Public Health of Public Health & Social Work is fully accredited by the CEPH. This rigorous academic and professional standard ensures excellence in our MPH and Ph.D. degree programs. Also, FIU is regionally accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC).

  • What is the current ranking of the college and the university?

    The Robert Stempel College of Public Health & Social Work is ranked among the nation's top 50 public health programs at public universities, specifically at #36 in the US News & World Report 2024-2025 ranking. FIU is also a Preeminent State Research University in Florida. Introduced into Florida law in 2013, the Florida Preeminence Program elevates and rewards the state's highest-performing public research universities based on student success and research performance metrics such as graduation rates, national rankings, faculty memberships in National Academies, research expenditures and patents awarded.

  • What would an MPH in Global Health prepare me for?

    An MPH in Global Health will give you valuable knowledge and skills for approaching complex health issues that affect the U.S. and other global regions, such as chronic diseases, mental health and planetary health consequences. Global Health, importantly, also aims to leverage global scientific learning (e.g., effective health policies, innovations or strategies in other settings) to inform local health solutions in the U.S. Additionally, given an interdisciplinary program, our MPH in Global Health graduates can pursue a broad range of career options such as those within academia or research institutions (e.g., universities), program management or implementation within public organizations (e.g., health departments), public health foundations (e.g., national and global NGOs), and multinational health or pharmaceutical companies with global operations.

  • Does MPH in GH offer an accelerated track?
