The Masters of Public Health degree with a concentration in Global Health trains students to apply global health principles to both domestic and international challenges, with a focus on identifying and addressing health inequities.
The increasing interconnectedness of the world requires professionals educated from a global perspective. The program leverages a transdisciplinary approach to prepare technically skilled and cross-culturally competent professionals to overcome challenges in a continually-shifting and complex landscape.
Graduates will be able to:

- Apply an integrative approach to contemporary health issues.
- Diplomatically function within and in conjunction with international agencies.
- Advocate as ethical leaders.
- Work, communicate, and excel across diverse global and local settings.
Program Competencies
- Assess the health and well-being of global communities and populations emphasizing the impact of transnational determinants.
- Articulate the significance of global health diplomacy with respect to its role(s) with international agencies, governmental organizations, and the development agenda.
- Characterize holistic, integrative, and transdisciplinary approaches toward contemporary health issues, international health systems, and diverse development and governing models.
- Propose advocacy strategies for global health initiatives that integrate compassion and ethics with efficiency and effectiveness.
- Compare and contrast the effectiveness of collaborative efforts and communications across global and local settings in the contexts of networks of power, systemic marginalization, and structural inequalities.
